Wrinkles Relaxing Agents

Bolutinum Toxin

The repetitive contractions of underlying facial muscles that happes every day may lead to crow’s feet, laugh lines, and frown lines as we age. Dynamic lines occur with every smile, laugh, or frown, these can lead to wrinkles that are present even when you are not expressing emotion. To fight these wrinkles & lines, Botulinum toxin (wrinkle relaxing agent) cosmetic injections provide a non-surgical way of reversing some of these visible signs of ageing.

It works by blocking the nerve impulses to the wrinkle producing muscles so they do not contract, resulting in a smooth and unwrinkled overlaying skin. The treatment is simple with minimal discomfort, requires only a few minutes, and you can immediately resume normal activity. The results will be apparent in a few days with continued smoothing of the skin occurring for a few weeks after the first treatment.

Injectable Fillers

What are injectable fillers?

The nasolabial fold, or the creases that extend from the nose to the corners of your mouth, often appear as one of the early signs of aging and can benefit from a lesser procedure when a facelift is not yet indicated.

Successful treatment of the tear trough can be accomplished by introducing hyaluronic acid to treat the aging appearance of under-eye shadows and is a procedure that takes less than 10 minutes

For the lips, the hyaluronic acid fillers work by not only plumping the lip directly but also trapping water within lips for a natural, plump pout.

Laser Hair Removal

What is laser hair removal?

The most common areas for hair reduction in women are the upper lip, chin, cheeks, legs, armpits and bikini area. Many factors, including genetics and hormones, control hair density in these areas. On the other hand, some ethnic groups have increased hair density above the lip. In addition, diseases such as polycystic ovary disease and certain medications may also stimulate excessive hair growth.

Laser hair removal is a safe and effective way to get rid of unwanted hair.

The principle underlying laser hair removal is known as selective thermolysis and it refers to light (or laser) that can target one color or tissue without affecting another. When applied to hair reduction, lasers or strong lights target pigment at the base of the follicle to destroy the matrix stem cells. This combination allows energy from the laser to pass through the skin and get absorbed by the dark hair. Most hair removal laser systems work well when used on light skin and dark hair. When used on dark skin however, the energy gets absorbed by the skin and may cause loss of pigment or scarring without affecting the hairs.

Treating facial areas may take 10 to 15 minutes while an average sized back takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Eye goggles are worn whenever a laser is used to protect the eyes from light bouncing off metal objects. Typical treatment sessions require four to six visits spaced about 1-2 month apart.

Chemical Peals

What are chemical peels?

Chemical peels have become an extremely sought after treatment, especially in the last few years. This is due to the fact that patients are looking to reduce signs of age without going under the knife or shelling thousands of dollars prefer, while getting a significant improvement to surface discoloration and skin texture.

Peels will reduce the appearances of scars, wrinkles, fine lines, and can even treat certain types of acne, and can also diminish dark spots and acne scars. For individuals who underwent significant sun exposure, a chemical peel will also remove damaged skin cells that could otherwise lead to cancer.

Axillary Hyperhidrosis

What is Axillary Hyperhidrosis?

Depending on its severity and the area affected, treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) may require one or more approaches, however, powders, ointments, and electrical stimulation is often tried first. The effects are temporary, however, and may last for just a few hours, sometimes up to a week.

Antichol inergic medications that block the neurotransmitter stimulating sweat production may also be prescribed, and may be particularly helpful for sweating that affects several parts of the body at once.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments are a non-surgical, fast form injection which is used for medical and cosmetic procedures. This treatment uses a small sample of the patient’s own blood to extract platelets, which are then concentrated and reintroduced to promote re-growth. Blood platelets are rich with building blocks that the body uses to rebuild tissue and heal the body. In a cosmetic application, the platelets are directly injected into several sites on the skin to naturally form new collagen and regenerate tissue.

PRP treatments for hair re-growth work similar to the way the facial treatments work. Platelets are injected at problem areas and begin to stimulate the growth of the hair follicle. While PRP treatments are still in the early stages of research, this usage shows great promise as a non-surgical, virtually painless treatment which effectively promotes new hair growth.
